Negros Occidental - The National Nutrition Council through Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator (RNPC) Nona B. Tad-y, released the 2nd tranche Early Childhood Care and Development in the First 1000 Days (ECCD F1K) funds amounting to P602, 237.54 to ECCD F1K area La Carlota City on May 23, 2019.

 Mayor Luis Jalandoni III received the check while MHO/MNAO Dr. Erwina Frances Jalandoni, CNPC Charina Navarro and other CNC members witnessed its turning over. ECCD F1K PNC Joyce Faith Española and NO II Sheryl Sedantes of NNC RVI were also present.

The said fund will be used to continuously implement the activities on nutrition education, food demonstration, home and community food production, and TAME expenses (e.g. travelling expenses, supplies, communication and gasoline expenses). Idol Ko Si Nanay! modules will be used during the Mother's Classes.

La Carlota is one of the five (5) pilot areas in the Province of Negros Occidental under the ECCD F1K Program. It is also a pilot area for the Dietary Supplementation Program (DSP) for Pregnant Women.// AKJ
