Iloilo - The National Nutrition Council pretested the prototype of ECCD F1K Reporting System (F1K RS), an electronic and online database and reporting system developed by Asiagate Networks Inc., in ECCD F1K areas in Iloilo on August 5-9, 2019 at EON Centennial Resort Hotel and Water Park.
Ms. Jahnine Baliao and Ms. April Joy Grimpula, developers of the system, taught the participants how to access and use the F1K RS as well as common computer keyboard shortcuts since most of the participants are beginners in handling the device. Participants were asked to fill up a set of forms in the online database of the electronic reporting system, using as reference available reports and records at the barangay, city/ municipal and provincial levels.
Aside from determining overall functionality and acceptability of the system and identifying possible issues or concerns with the actual use of the database, the five-day pretesting activity also aimed to identify the current procedures, tools and practices for data collection of ECCD-related programs/ activities in the LGUs, including processing and utilization of collected data, and reporting, examine the feasibility and possible scenarios of using the online database/ reporting system as well as facilitate development of more operation and workable tool on data collection.
The comments and suggestions accumulated during the pretesting activities in both Manila and Iloilo will determine how the final draft of the ECCD F1K Reporting System design will look like. The activity was attended by Nutrition Action Officers and Coordinators, Midwives, BNSs and BHWs as well as representatives from the NNC VI Regional office. // AKJ
