f1k 3rd quarterly meeting

F1K areas in Iloilo and Negros Occidental met to discuss updates and issues concerning the ECCD F1K program during the 3rd quarterly meeting conducted by the NNC, RVI on September 18, 2019, at Panaderia de Iloilo.

PNC Gelaine Trabado presented the results of the Midline Survey conducted by Infoshare Management System last October 2018 which aimed to validate the project accomplishments, identify the hindering and facilitating factors that contributed to the overall program implementation and recognize the best practices for possible replication.

NNC also shared updates on the Dietary Supplementation Program (DSP) for pregnant women since some of the areas are on the 2nd batch as well as gave recommendations such as performing nutritional status assessment of pregnant women using the Magbitang table and MUAC to serve as baseline data and weekly weighing, utilize home and community food production during feeding, and conduct daily feeding to see the effectiveness of the program.

Meanwhile, when asked how they could submit their Quarterly Accomplishment Report (QAR) on time, LGUs suggested tips such as having a designated person to facilitate and validate the report and to have a good working relationship with the coordinator who makes the report. As for the ECCD checklists which were delivered to the LGUs sometime during the 2nd quarter, NNC also gave the signal to distribute the checklists.

The schedule for TAME visits in the F1K areas in Iloilo province was also announced during the meeting.// AKJ
