
Nutrition Officers Sheryl Sedantes and Ritzel Joy Daduya discussed the importance of eating healthy diets for good nutrition which should be coupled with physical activity, as what the Nutrition Month 2019 emphasizes, with the theme, "Kumain ng wasto at maging aktibo...push natin'to!".
Nutrition Officer III Sedantes presented the Pinggang Pinoy as a guide for choices of health food compositions in every meal, stressing that groupings of the plate should consist 33% rice, or pasta, or bread, 33% vegetables; 17% fruits; and 17% fish or meat or eggs and a glass of water.
Nutrition Officer I Daduya, on the other hand, explained the enhanced tool for Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Program Implementation (MELLPI Pro) and its advantages for the LGUs monitored.
The Nutri Talk-Iloilo, an information and education media strategy of the NNC and DOH CHDWV-6, is aired daily at the Nutrition Channel, Sky Cable Iloilo.
