National Nutrition Council – Region VI joins in the celebration of World Obesity Day (March 4, 2021) through the hanging of streamer and participated in the 3-part Webinar Dissemination Forum of Results of Studies on Overweight and Obesity via Zoom. The webinar is organized by NNC, together with UNICEF and the Nutrition Center of the Philippines, to present local research studies to increase awareness and knowledge on the extent of overnutrition in the Philippines as well as share good practices in addressing malnutrition.

The Local Government Units were also encouraged to observe the said celebration through attending the said webinar and conduct activities relative to addressing overnutrition in their areas.

The 2nd and 3rd parts of the webinar series can be viewed via NNC Facebook Livestream on March 18 and March 25 from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.
