Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator Nona B. Tad-y delivered her message highlighting this year’s NM theme which coincidentally suited to Yolanda incident last year. Yolanda case made people realized that nutritional problem begin to appear after calamity when assessment is done using the Mid-Upper Arm Circumference (MUAC taking). Findings during the assessment serve as basis for response strategies to address identified nutritional problem.

She also stressed that Tapaz is second (2nd) nutritionally depressed municipality in the region with a double digit figure of 13.8%  prevalence rate of undernutrition. It is important that proper nutrition should be lived in everyday lives of Tapaznon.
