ro6 DNPC MeetingThe regional association of District/City Program Coordinators in Western Visayas  is set to be organized following the need to update list of officers and members and some changes in the local government units.

Ms. Nona Tad-y Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator said the updated list of officers have to be submitted to the District/City Nutrition Program Coordinators Association of the Philippines (D/CNPCAP), as requested during its 4th National Convention in October last year.

It was observed that some D/CPNCs were not designated by the local chief executives but still sit as such, and there are those who were not trained or oriented on their roles and functions.

Ms. Noniza Lozada, DNPC of Iloilo said that there is need for these D/CNPCs to undergo necessary trainings or orientation to become more aware of their responsibilities.

On the other hand, Ms. Crescini Roxas, DNPC of Aklan and a member of the Board of Directors of D/CNPCAP said that the D/CNPCs should actively participate in nutrition-related programs and should be dedicated to their tasks.

RNPC Tad-y said that those who are not yet designated should remind their mayors and that all the D/CNPCs in the region should be re-oriented on their roles.

The group present during the D/CNPCs meeting last February 14, agreed that an election of officers will be conducted during the next meeting and full attendance should be ensured.
