Fifteen New Barangay Nutrition Scholars of the Municipality of Leon underwent a BNS Basic Training Course on March 21-25, 2022 at Leon, Iloilo. This was organized by the Leon Municipal Nutrition Committee and MNC Coordinator Ma. Theresa De Los Reyes.

This activity is to equip the BNSs with the basic information and rationale using the life cycle approach for good health & nutrition. Also, to enhance the skills of BNSs in helping different target groups address health & nutrition problems through behavior change. It also aims to enhance the knowledge & skills of BNSs in promoting breastfeeding & good nutrition for lactating mothers, to know & share breastfeeding information, not only with mothers but also with different stakeholders in the community.
