On August 2-3, 2022 the Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team (RNET) conducted a Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI) Pro in the City of Sipalay, Negros Occidental. The Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team (RNET) led by the National Nutrition Council Region VI Staff Nutrition Officer III Sheryl Sedantes and Project Development Officer I Roselle Eve Ferrer together with Ms. Rosellie Salcedo of Department of Public Works and Highways Region VI, Ms. Arni Sumaylo of Department of Agrarian Reform Region VI and Ms. Paula Huelar of Department of Science and Technology Region VI monitored and assessed the performances of the Local Nutrition Committee and Local Nutrition Focal Points. The team together with Dr. Florencio O. Juplo II, City Health Officer and City Nutrition Action Officer and Ms. Judyliza L. Cepe, City Nutrition Program Coordinator met with Mayor Hon. Maria Gina M. Lizares to discuss the rationale and processes of the activity which the latter expressed her all-out support to health and nutrition programs. She even presented the City’s initiatives in addressing malnutrition problems through dietary supplementation program and other health and nutrition services available to the Sipalaynons.

The Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team had a monitoring visit at Brgy. 3, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental. The team monitored and evaluated the COBNS Ms. Delia S. Mueda. Afterwards the team had a feedbacking together with Mayor and Chair of City Nutrition Committee Hon. Maria Gina M Lizares, City Nutrition Aaction Officer Dr. Florencio O. Juplo, City Nutrition Program Coordinator Judyliza Cepe, the City Nutrition Committee and BNC of Brgy. 3.
