Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team RNET Meeting

The National Nutrition Council Region VI convened the Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team (RNET) on 10 June 2022 at District 21 Hotel, Mandurriao, Iloilo City. The meeting aims to familiarize them with the updated Monitoring Evaluation of Local Level Plan of Implementation Protocol (MELLPI PRO) guidelines & tools and to set the MELLPI Pro schedules of the participating Local Government Units.

The MELLPI Pro is a Monitoring and evaluation tool for LGUs, measures program efficiency in relation to program outreach, budget allocation and expenditure, as well as policies issued, measures program effectiveness through the change in nutritional status among preschool and schoolchildren, and designed to monitor and evaluate the performance of LGUs in promoting nutrition security vis-à-vis nutrition outcomes. The results aim to guide policy and decision-makers to enhance nutrition products, services and delivery systems towards improved effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability.

For the 2022 MELLPI Pro, the Regional Nutrition Evaluation team (RNET) will be composed of the select members of the Regional Nutrition Technical Committee. The team is chaired by Ms. Rosellie Salcedo from DPWH RVI while the members are Ms. Paula M. Castillo from DILG RVI, Ms. Arni B. Sumaylo from DAR RVI, Ms. Melgazar F. Barboza from DepEd RVI, Ms. Ma. Azucena Arroyo from DOH RVI, Ms. Niezel Anen T. Sabrido from DOLE RVI, Ms. Paula Huelar from DOST RVI, Ms. Ma. Noema Castromayor from DSWD RVI, Ms. Gina Joquico from FDA RVI, Ms. Lalaine Doronila from NFA RVI, Mr. Rashley David De Juan from NEDA RVI, Ms. Lilibeth French from PIA RVI, Ms.Gretchen Jamorin from CPD RVI, and Mr. Marianito Ramirez from UPV-BIDANI.

NNC RVI ensures that the Local Government Units execute nutrition programs to address the malnutrition problem in their area to improve the Region's nutrition situation and the country. The Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team (RNET) conducts Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI) Pro on an annual basis to track and evaluate LGUs' effectiveness in administering nutrition programs.
