On July 4, 2022, at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol lobby, RNPC Reginaldo T. Guillen and the NNC Region VI Staff attended the official launch of the provincial government of Iloilo's Nutrition Month with the theme "New Normal na Nutrisyon, Sama-Samang Gawan ng Solusyon". The activity was spearheaded by Dr. Maria Socorro Quinon, PHO II, and PNAO together with DNPC Leni Disin and Provincial Nutrition Staff. A Nutri-Funday Zumba, nutrition trivia, nutrition counseling on specific diets, a nutrition fair, food tasting, and a cooking demonstration of low-cost nutrition recipes were some of the activities as part of the event. Honorable Arthur R. Defensor, Governor, and Chair of the PNC pledge to continuously support and strengthen the nutrition program implementation in the province.

One of the highlights of the event is the launch of the NutriVac Project spearheaded by Governor Arthur R. Defensor Jr. Chair of the Iloilo Provincial Nutrition Committee, as also contained in an Executive Order signed by the Governor last Saturday, July 2, 2022. The Executive Order institutionalized the implementation of nutrition intervention alongside the objective of increasing the vaccination rate of Ilonggos in the province. The NNC Regional Office expressed its heartfelt thanks to the strong support extended by the Iloilo Provincial Government not just for the conduct of the NM Kick Off activity but more importantly the sustaining activities to combat COVID 19 and malnutrition in the province.
