Cebu City - He forked at his food and shovelled this into his mouth without thought. One morsel after the other, one spoon after the other... his eyes were too transfixed on television that his eating made little significance. It is as though he is not appreciative of the food he is blessed with. People have turned television into the meat of eating and eating the meat of television.
Recently though, the National Nutrition Council 7 has found ways to put meat into nutrition with a nutrition television segment called, “Good Food, Good Health.” Aired over Cebu Catholic Television Network, the segment kicked off last September 14, 2012.
The five–minute nutrition-tips segment is placed in between 15-minute air gaps in a program called, “Pagpakabana Katawhan” under the auspice of the Association of Government Information Officers 7.
The program is aired every Friday at 8pm and is replayed on Saturdays at 6pm. The segment is anchored by NNC 7’s NPC Parolita “Letlet” Mission.
Since its maiden broadcast, the show has already discussed topics like tips in lowering high blood pressure, tips to fight off acne, tips to combat stress and tips to feel young. The regularization of this segment came about after NNC 7 signed a contract with AGIO 7 for the latter to give 20 minutes of its show every week to NNC 7 for free. // DFB
