Cebu City – More than two hundred pregnant and lactating mothers and other stakeholders joined in the Breastfeeding is Beautiful March and Commemoration Program last August 22, 2012 at the SM City Cebu.

The Breastfeeding Awareness Month celebration started at 10:30 in the morning with the opening of the Breastfeeding Photo Exhibit at the Mosaic Center, SM City Cebu. This was followed by a Breastfeeding March at the Lower Ground Floor of the SM City Cebu. Some of the mothers brought along their breastfed babies. The mothers came from Barangays Busay, Calamba, Capitol, Carreta, Lahug, Lorega, Luz, Mabolo, Sambag 1, Sambag 2, Sto. Niño and San Roque. They are accompanied by Barangay Nutrition Scholars of Cebu City who carried one-liner breastfeeding messages that educate and encourage onlookers on the importance of breastfeeding.
