A Nutrition Program Management Training was organized and facilitated by the Institue of Human Nutrition & Food - College of Human Ecology, Universtiy of the Philippines Los Banos last 10-14 October 2011 at Bethel Guest House, Dumaguete City. Nine (9) municipalities and 6 component cities were represented by the members of Local Nutrition Committees including the Municipal Nutrition Action Officers, Municipal Planning and Development Officers and District/City Nutrition Program Coordinators.

The 5 day training was aimed at helping the City/Municipal Nutiriton Action Officers, Municial Social Welfare Officers, Municipal Planning and Development Officers and the rest of the Local Nutrition Committees to formulate a Local Nutrition Action Plan, a Work Plan, an Annual Investment Plan and also tools to monitor and evaluate the Local Nutirtion Action Plan. This training was also done to improve the capacity of the Nutrition Action Officers to better manage their nutrition programs.
