Tagbilaran City – NDPs and PHAs deployed in the regional office of the National Nutrition Council Region 7 and in the provinces of Bohol, Cebu, Negros Oriental and Siquijor were gathered for the first time this year for a Performance Review held on 08 June 2016 at Reyna’s Haven and Gardens, Tagbilaran City.
Headed by NPC Parolita A. Mission, the activity was held to discuss issues, concerns and barriers in the implementation of their jobs as part of the Nurse Deployment Program (NDP) and Public Health Assistance Program (PHA) as well as to define their roles and responsibilities in addressing the nutrition situation of their assigned province.
The review highlighted the 1st and 2nd quarter individual accomplishments of the NDPs and PHAs presented through a checklist. A Gantt chart was also shown for them to be guided on the dates of submission of their deliverables and to have consistency of their reports.
Concerns about their media appearances as part of their targets were also tackled since there have been difficulties in complying the number of required media appearances as stated in the job description. The NNC 7 will coordinate with its partner radio stations in the different provinces to allow NDPs and PHAs to appear on a certain program in their stations. It was agreed that all their deliverables be included in their individual performance commitment and review as basis of their performance and subsequent renewal of contracts.
Moreover, the nutrition month activities were also shared through a video teaser and the NDPs and PHAs were encouraged to assist their assigned local government units in the submission of entries for breastfeeding photo contest and complimentary food preparation video contest which are part of the 2016 NM launching activities.
NDP/NO II Honey Rose V. Anfone and PHA/NO I Retz Pol O. Pacalioga facilitated the review exercise. //HRVA
