Six secondary schools in Cebu City competed for the title using the Nutrition Month 2015 theme to flavor their cheers and athleticism and choreography to spice things up in the dance floor giving the judges a difficult time in choosing the winner for said competition.

The event which was a collaboration of the National Nutrition Council 7 and the Cebu City Nutrition Committee was aimed to raise good health, nutrition and lifestyle habits among adolescents in a bid to make a dent on the increasing prevalence rate of over nutrition in the particular age group.

 

And grabbing the coveted champion’s title is Don Vicente Rama Memorial National High School whose team showed not only great athleticism and clean choreography but also shared nutrition messages of good nutrition and healthy lifestyle very clearly. The second prize went to Talamaban National High School and the third prize was awarded to the Pardo National High School. Prizes were sponsored by the Cebu City Nutrition Committee.

The event as the third and last part of the Nutrition Month Launching Event all held on 01 July 2015, the first part being the NM Launching Holy Mass at the St. Joseph the Patriarch Parish in Mabolo, Cebu City and the second being the formal NM Launching Program with the ceremonial peeling of the “not so good nutrition habits”.
