Cebu City – Traveling roughly a thousand kilometers from the Ilocos region, members of the Regional Organization of Nutrition Advocates (RONDA) 1 came to the Queen City of the South, Cebu to visit with the Media Information Network for Nutrition and Development (MIND) 7 for a two-day benchmarking activity.
Arriving on the 5th of August 2015, RONDA 1 members from different media networks in Region 1 bonded with Central Visayas’ nutrition advocates to exchange strategies in promoting good nutrition through various media.
Visiting MIND 7 in action was the itinerary of the second day. All 14 RONDA 1 members visit DYLA to see MIND 7 charter president Mr. Jun Tagalog and then to 103.5 Retro Cebu to visit current MIND 7 president Mr. Bong Roxas and lastly to The Freeman to see Vice President for Print, Ms. Mitchelle Palaubsanon’s network.
RONDA 1’s president, Mr. Bernie R. Errasquin expressed his appreciation of the activity citing it as a great opportunity for RONDA 1 to learn from the more experienced MIND 7.
As part of the National Nutrition Council’s advocacy efforts, media partners and community radio stations provide great opportunity to a expand nutrition information dissemination, something that both RONDA 1 and MIND 7 recognize and thus, the effort they put into helping their respective region spread out. #WastongNutrisyon. //NGS
