Dumaguete City – The Human Resource for Health-Nutrition (HRH-N) in Central Visayas held their Program Implementation Review or PIR on 09 December 2021 at the Southview Hotel Dumaguete City. All 19 HRH-N deployed in Bohol, Cebu, Negros Oriental and Siquijor provinces joined the PIR. Siquijor PNFP and LGU Mobilization In-charge Mary Bliss Joy P. Iguana facilitated the review.
The team leaders from the four provinces namely Ms. Franz Cassandra Ontina of Bohol, Ms. Geraldine Mae Pausanos of Cebu, Ms. Shaira Vita Calumpang of Negros Oriental and Ms.Grace Adolfo of Siquijor presented their team accomplishments based on targets and output indicators. They also shared good practices, challenges, and corrective measures. NPC Dr. Parolita A. Mission and other NNC 7 technical staff gave their comments and recommendations.
After the activity, the PIR participants realized that the pains, difficulties encountered in the process of program implementation are overshadowed by the wow moments, successes, and the progress of the program in local governments they handled. Many of attendees felt refreshed, renewed and commitment to serve fueled further, ready to face the new challenges that the next normal would bring.
NNC 7 acknowledges the contribution of HRH-N in mobilizing LGU s for better nutrition outcome. They are considered nutrition heroes as they continue to serve their areas especially during the hard time brought upon by the COVID-19 pandemic. Nutrition programs may be slowed down by this pandemic, but these nutrition warriors remain strong and steadfast to perform their duties for the betterment of the communities they served. // NO I Christine April M.
