value of nutrition

Cebu City - The common problem that eludes a lot of health-conscious individuals is the value of nutrition. Especially with Filipinos, the common practice would just be to get tested, rely on medication, and start all over again. It’s literally a cycle of helping your health deteriorate over a length of time.

And over that period, it’s unfortunate that not enough people incorporate the value of clean eating or in other words nutritious eating in relation to their health. We must understand that the physiology of our body relies well on the proper nutrients absorbed by our cells. Our cells may withstand foreign sources like medication but going back through time optimal health is achieved by the benefit of nutrient dense food. In other words, our cells crave nutrients, and the path to a healthy life is through that.

That’s why it is imperative that our efforts for a healthier life come at the phase even before everything falls apart. How we cater to our health habits at first, will define our health in the end.

So, make the move first, and do it while it’s not too late. Build good eating habits, try to eat more healthier, practice making more healthier food choices. In general, seek for your long-term health for you and your loved ones. People tend to only do it after it has already happened. And that is a big mistake, not only that it’s a costly mistake that we come to regret later in life.

Remember, in the long run we tend to regret what we didn’t do versus what we couldn’t do. And you are in control of your health habits, but if you don’t know where to start maybe this is your chance to ask a Registered Nutritionist-Dietitian. So, what’s stopping you to live a healthy life? // NO I Gabriel M. Flores, RND
