Sikatuna, Bohol –The Municipal Nutrition Committee (MNC) of Sikatuna in Bohol sees better implementation of their programs in 2022. They realized this after their program implementation review (PIR) held on 04 December 14, 2021. The very first review initiated by the MNC under the baton of MNC Chair, Hon. Justiniana L. Ellorimo highlighted the accomplishments based on the Municipal Nutrition Action Plan as executed by the different members of the MNC in the year 2021.

The PIR facilitated by the Municipal Nutrition Action Officer, Dr. Paz A. Maniwang with secretariat support from Municipal Nutrition Program Coordinator, Mrs. Alicia J. Ellorimo was attended by different members of the committee including MAO, MLGOO, MSWDO, ABC President, BNS President, BHW President and other members who were greatly involved in the 2021 program implementation. The accomplishments presented through photographs as culled by BNS Municipal Association BNS Lizha R. Balili captured the success and difficulties in implementing nutrition programs with the standing pandemic protocols in the province and other authorities.  Other agencies like DepEd and MAO also shared their accomplishments along nutrition sensitive interventions. HRH for Nutrition ND II Franz Cassandra R. Ontina showed their re-entry plan that plotted MNC activities to be prioritized in 2022.

At the end of the session, the members of the committee expressed their appreciation of PIR conducted as they recognized that there are programs that continually provides good nutrition services to the community despite hindrances. With nutrition PPAs in place and success indicators defined, the Sikatuna MNC positively sees better 2022 performance that will contribute to improved nutrition outcomes in the municipality.
