Cebu City – The National Nutrition Council Region VII (NNC7) worked full steam in 2021 and will go full throttle in 2022. This was the general findings and desire of the team as it started the year with a yearend program implementation review and planning activity for the year 2022 held on 10-11 January 2022. RNPC Dr. Parolita A. Mission facilitated both activities. All technical and administrative staff actively participated in the assessment and planning exercise.
The review was supposedly conducted last month but was cancelled due to the super typhoon Odette where the team had to do nutrition in emergency response in areas greatly ravaged by the super typhoon.
During the review, the different programs, projects, and activities (PPAs) were presented including the facilitating and deterring factors along with the recommendations and insights for further improvement. The staff also identified their best PPA performed in 2021 and shared their realization assessing such. The planning session done on the second day reviewed the outcome and output indicators of the regional office, defined the targets for the year and identified key PPAs contributing to achievement of the nutrition outcome the team hopes to achieve in 2022. With the deliberation of the proposed PAPs, some modifications were suggested on top of that new and exciting projects like the social media campaign and the enhancement of the monthly e-HISGOT, among others.
Fired up, the NNC7 team is ready to face the challenges the year of tiger with confidence and will power.
