Cebu City - Assistant Secretary and NNC Executive Director IV Dr. Azucena M. Dayanghirang inducts the new set of officers of the Central Visayas Association of Nutrition Action Officers, Inc. The induction rite was held on 29 April 2022 via zoom platform.
Inducted into office were CNAO Dr. Dr. Ma. Corazon R. Cablao of Bais City as President; CNAO Dr. Felmar M. Deza of Carcar City as Executive Vice President; MNAOs Dr. Joni L. Co of Dauis, Bohol; Dr. Oliver A. Jimenez of Medellin, Cebu, Dr. Melpa B. Yee of Dauin, Negros Oriental and Dr. Archibald V. Inso of Maria, Siquijor as Vice Presidents for their respective provinces; CNAO Stephanie R. Reyes of Tanjay City as Secretary; CNAO Dr. Bonito F. Zamora of Toledo City as Assistant Secretary; CNAO Emma F. Seville of Cebu City as Treasurer, CNAO Dr. Katherine L. Durano of Danao City as Assistant Treasurer; CNAOs Dr. Dominga G. Obenza of Mandaue City and Dr. Jeia N. Pondoc of Tagbilaran City as PROs; CNAOs, Dr. Reina V. Demandante of Clarin, Bohol; Dr. Corazon V. Dotillos of Borbon, Cebu; Dr. Cheryl Luz N. All the Barangay Nutrition Action Officers in the region is represented by Hon. Ramises G. Flores of Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental. The newly inducted officers were elected by the general assembly during the 16th congress of NAOs and will serve for a 3-year term from 2022 to 2024.
A/Sec Dr. Dayanghirang in her inspirational message encouraged the newly inducted officers to focus and work together in addressing malnutrition in the region.
CeVANAO, Inc. is an organization composed of Provincial, City, and Municipal Nutrition Action Officers of Region VII. The association’s mission is to develop efficient and effective nutrition action officers for the implementation of the nutrition programs in Central Visayas. It will serve as a venue for NAOs to express and address nutrition challenges encountered in their tour of duties. CeVANAO, Inc. was formed on 19 August 2010 with CNAO Dr. Ma. Elizabeth T. Sedillo of Tanjay City as its charter president. The organization was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on 28 July 2016 during the term of then president MNAO Dr. Josephine B.
