Cebu City – NNC 7 welcomes the new set of officers of the Central Visayas Association of Nutrition Action Officers (CeVANAO), Inc who were elected to office through a general assembly held on 11 September 2021. The officers were inducted into office on 29 April 2022 in time with the 1^st CeVANAO, Inc. online meeting series of 2022 with Assistant Secretary and Executive Director III Dr. Azucena M. Dayanghirang as inducting officer.

A/Sec Dayanghirang in her inspirational message during the induction encouraged the NAOs to work together and promote good nutrition and battle stunting and other forms of malnutrition in the region. She recognized the organization’s work especially when Canlaon City, Negros Oriental and Municipality of Borbon, Cebu were awarded during the Healthy Pilipinas Awards 2022 in the category of nutrition and physical activity. The presence and words of A/Sec Dayanghirang enthused the officers to lead the nutrition program in their respective areas.

The CeVANAO, Inc. is an organization composed of Nutrition Action Officers (NAOs) of the different LGUs (provincial, city and municipal) of Region VII. It serves as venue for NAOs to express and address challenges encountered in line of duty, exchange technical and administrative inputs to influence good practices throughout the region as well as discuss matters that contribute to the efficiency and well-being of NAOs in the region.
