Mandaue City – The Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team (RNET) during its Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI) Protocol held in the city on 18 – 20 May 2022 noted a vibrant interagency collaboration among the members of the Mandaue City Nutrition Committee.

Mandaue MELLPI Pro team leader and PAN member Ms. Emma Gaviola expressed this observation on behalf of the team during the feedback/learning sessions held on the last day of the visit. Other team members include Ms. Haide Senajon of DBM 7, Ms. Christy Marie Baritua of FDA 7, ND II Geraldine Pausanos of DOH/NNC 7, and NO I Gab Flores of NNC 7 acting as secretariat. NPC Dr. Parolita Mission also joined the team during the feedback/learning session.

The vitality of the members of interagency Mandaue CNC with CNAO Dr. Dominga Obenza on the lead was shown in the reports and documents presented to the team and their participation in the step-through process in getting all the necessary and important data. This can also be gleaned throughout the evaluation process of all the three sampled barangays namely: Barangay Subangdaku, Barangay Bakilid, & Barangay Cambaro.

Also noticeable in this year’s evaluation was that Mandaue City stepped up its game, as they made a big improvement in comparison to last year’s MELLPI Pro. // NO I Gab Flores, RND
