Cebu City – The Federation of Barangay Nutrition Scholars Association of Region 7 Inc., the regional federation of provincial and city BNS associations in Central Visayas will showcase their roles and responsibilities in the new normal through Tiktok/Reel/Short video. This was one of the agreements reached by the BNS presidents during their meeting held 21 June 2022 done via virtual setting.
TikTok is a social media platform for creating, sharing, and discovering short videos. The app is usually used by young people as an outlet to express themselves through singing, dancing, comedy, and lip-syncing, and allows users to create videos and share them across a community.
Maximizing this most popular social media app to date, the BNS Presidents as part of their special project this 48th Nutrition Month will produce and share 15-second videos shot on mobile devices or webcams to relay the critical roles nutrition heroes perform in their respective barangays in this time of the new normal. The special project gives them a chance relay their content to have a modern touch, so it can be relatable to the targeted audience.
The overall objective of the special project is to raise awareness about the efforts of community nutrition heroes on their role in the delivery of nutrition services or interventions and highlight the importance of nutrition in the recovery and rehabilitation phase of the pandemic.
