Cebu City - The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Regional Office VII celebrates the 48th Nutrition Month via online platform. The event was participated by Regional Director of the Jail Bureau - Jail Chief Superintendent Efren A. Nemeño, DPA, TLPE, Assistant Regional Director for Administration - Jail Senior Superintendent Renante B. Rubio, Assistant Regional Director for Operation - Jail Superintendent Nanding N. Bayle, BJMP personnel, jail wardens, and employees all over Central Visayas. The event was moderated by BJMP Regional Nutritionist-Dietitian JO1 Lorna Mae L. Agustin.
The meeting started with an invocation by JO2 Aquillio G. Ramos Jr., wherein he used the National Nutrition Council 48th Nutrition Month Prayer. Chief, Regional Welfare and Development Division - Jail Superintendent Asyncrito N. Encio then gave his welcome remarks. In his message he invited all jail wardens, employees, and staff to stay fit and healthy to continue to advocate in changing lives and building a safer nation.
ND II James Aaron Perez, then shared the 48th Nutrition Month theme “New Normal na Nutrisyon, Sama-samang gawan ng solusyon!” In his presentation he emphasized on the nutrition month campaign objectives and key messages and how the BJMP Region VII can support the 48th NM. He also shared the activities for the regional nutrition month celebration and invited the BJMP to participate as well as make their own nutrition month activities for their staff, employees, jailers, and persons deprived of liberty.
ARDA JSSUPT Rubio in his closing remarks ensured that BJMP Region VII continues to support the 48th Nutrition Month not only within its employees but also to its clientele the persons deprived of liberty and their families. JSSUPT Rubio also shared that the BJMP continues to celebrate 48th NM by showcasing different activities that promote nutrition and physical activities such as cooking contest, cooking demo, nutrition advocacy talks, dancing and zumba that is participated by everyone in the facility. // ND II James Aaron S.
