Manjuyod NM Culmination

Manjuyod, Negros Oriental - The municipality of Manjuyod concludes both Nutrition Month (NM) and Disaster Resilience Month (DRM) thru Nutrifit Walk and Roadside Clean-up Drive. This was held on 29 July 2022. The route started at crossing Campuyo and ended at White Sandbar Jump-off area. The activity was attended by 350 participants composed of the municipal employees, men in uniform, Pantawid Pamilya beneficiaries of barangay Campuyo and other stakeholders.

The celebration carried the theme β€œNew normal na nutrisyon, sama-samang gawan ng solusyon!” for NM and β€œSambayanang Pilipino, nagkakaisa tungo sa katatagan at maunlad na kinabukasan” for DRM promoted walking as a simple form of exercise and roadside clean-up as a way of performing our responsibilities to society and the environment, to be able to guide, control, and regulate generation and storage at source, collection, and transport, and processing of solid wastes among the residents along the chosen route. It was also an opportunity for the organizers to promote nutrition resiliency as the nation transitions to living with the COVID-19 virus and highlighted the value of coordinated effort and cooperation in achieving community readiness and safety and better health and nutrition of all its residents.

The organizers including the Municipal Agricultural Office (MAO), Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO), and the Municipal Health Office (MHO) were grateful for the active participation of the stakeholders in event and appreciative of the strong support by the local government unit in these advocacies. // ND II Raya Faith A.
