Cebu City – NNC 7 expressed the agency’s gratitude anew to the officers and members of the Media Information Network for Nutrition and Development 7 (MIND 7) for their active participation in the media campaign for the 48th Nutrition Month celebration in Central Visayas. The message of thanks was relayed personally by RNPC Dr. Parolita A. Mission during the 2nd MIND 7 meeting s 2022 held on 26 August 2022 at the Yello Hotel Lahug, Cebu City.
The meeting also tackled the 2022 Social Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) Campaign Status, Assessment of the 48th Nutrition Month Media Accomplishment, Social Media Campaign Updates, and the upcoming twin events, the 2022 Grand Nutrition Awards and 17th Regional Congress of NAOs.
MIND 7 is the official media network for nutrition in Central Visayas. This comprises a group of media practitioners (television, radio, print, and the internet) from the commercial media that help sustain efforts for nutrition advocacy in the region. The media organization was established on 17 November 2010 with former DYLA-AM Station Manager Mr. Jun P. Tagalog as its charter president. The Freeman’s Senior Reporter Ms. Mitchelle L. Palaubsanon is the current president. Vice Presidents include Ms. Nancy Cudis-Ucag of the Memoriter for social media, Mr. Jhunnex G. Napallacan of DYLA-AM for Radio, Ms. Minerva BC Newman of the Manila Bulletin/Newsman Blog for Print, Mr. Jimrey D. Biosa of the DYAR-Sonshine Radio and TV for Television, Ms. Hazel F. Gloria of PIA 7 for Information Officers for NGAs and Ms. Fiel E. Araoarao-Gabin for Information Officers for LGUs.
The association maintains its internet radio NNC 7/MIND 7, a brainchild of the organization’s 2nd President, the late Mr. Raul “Bong” H. Roxas. The NNC 7/MIND 7 internet radio is airing all its radio, television, and internet programs via delayed transmission thru its broadcast hub located at the NNC 7 office along Osmena Blvd., Cebu City. // PDO I Noah Vincent D.
