Cebu City – As the country is set to launch the new Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN) 2023-2028, the Regional Nutrition Committee thru the National Nutrition Council Region VII will conduct an online forum for PPAN 2023-2028 on 09 November 2022 at 1:00 PM via zoom conference call. The activity entitled “PRO Nutrition: A call to Legislators and Youth Leaders for PPAN Engagement” targets policymakers and the youth to gain support and commitment for regional nutrition improvement.

The activity is conducted in partnership with members of the Regional Nutrition Committee, the National Youth Commission Visayas and the Philippine Councilors’ League and is designed specifically to give awareness to stakeholders or supporters about what legislators can do to scale up multidisciplinary nutrition action for greater impact.

The activity is highlighted by an overview of the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition 2023-2028, a panel discussion on the roles of the legislators and the youth in the implementation of local nutrition programs as well as statements of commitment from different stakeholders.

The expected participants of the said event are the members of the Sangguniang Kabataan, Sangguniang Panlalawigan/Panglungsod/Bayan, and other stakeholders which are crucial in the support of the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition. //NDG
