2022 Dec21 LatteDaySaintsBogo City, Cebu - On August 26, 2022, Bogo District of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints launched the Child Nutrition Program (CNP). The program helps mother and children get better nutrition.

The program was participated by 400 members of the Church and guests covering the northern municipalities of Cebu: Bogo City, Medellin, Daan Bantayan, San Remegio, and Bantayan Islands.

The nutrition program was in partnership with National Nutrition Council Region VII, Mobile Emergency and Disaster Rescue Unit, Local Government Units of Bogo City and Medellin, and Rise and Rebuild International Foundation who is also a SUN (Scaling Up Nutrition) Civil Society Association member in Central Visayas. The Rise and Rebuild Foundation hosted a free healthy sumptuous lunch for the participants and beneficiaries.

The event was also graced by Congresswoman Janice Z. Salimbangon of the 4th District Representative wherein she appreciate the Church efforts in addressing malnutrition in the locality.

Local church leader of Bogo District, Ronnel Gaco; shares It takes an entire village and community to address the increasing malnutrition in many parts of our country. Sister Rebecca L. Craven, 2nd Counselor of the General Young Women of the Church appreciated and highlighted in her message “Thank you for surrounding them with your loving protection. Nobody can do anything unless we bond and make a difference in our children's lives. To you, our beautiful children, you are the future,"

Participants and beneficiaries where able to avail the initial screen and assessment, received vitamins for children, and had a series of workshops about nutrition for mothers.
