Siquijor, Siquijor – Ms. Vanessa Stump of the municipality of Siquijor grabbed the “Buntis Queen” title during the Provincewide Search for Buntis Queen 200. The pageant was held on 16 December 2022 at Capital Square, Poblacion, Siquijor, Siquijor.

Besting all the other contestants, this half-Filipina and half-Swiss, has always been a pageant enthusiast even in her teenage days. Now, even as a mom, she wouldn’t have it any other way. She has participated in numerous pageant competitions around the province of Siquijor and has won several times. And, she has proved herself yet again in this recent beauty competition.

The recently crowned “Buntis Queen 2022”, Ms. Stump is a resident of Barangay Candanay Norte, Siquijor. She’s a proud and responsible mom of one and another one on the way. She has been very compliant and completed her monthly pre-natal check-ups with her firstborn and so with her current pregnancy.

Her experience with her first-born child has been her advocacy in her 2022 Buntis Congress journey to educate other women on the importance of pre-natal check-ups to avoid pregnancy complications and taking the recommended amount of Iron-Folic Acid supplements for the whole duration of pregnancy and post-partum. She is very earnest to become an inspiration and role model to every woman in Siquijor Province.

Indeed, this year has been great for Ms. Vanessa as she has been crowned as Buntis Queen 2022 and won cash gifts and kits for herself and for her baby. // ND II Grace E. Adolfo, RND
