New year, New me as they say right? So why not start a new adventure to a healthier version of yourself this year.

Simple changes in daily routine is the way to create consistency in new habits, here are three tips for you to try!

Spend your time engaging in healthy pursuits. Try participating in an exercise program. If your body is not used to excercise or any physical activities, it is good to start with simple and low impact activities. It is also wonderful to remember that your dream body does not equal to the smallest body. Get to know your physique and learn to understand your body needs.

Set goals. Knowing what you want for an end result in your journey to a healthy life, sets realistic and attainable plan. This also helps you on the steps needed to be done in achieving the goal. In making the plan it is good to note unhealthy habits or patterns in life that is already adapted. Consiously knowing these triggers would intentionally stop oneself in doing so.

Be patient. Change takes time, so be persistent. Slowly but surely your body adjust to the new healthy changes that is taking place. Value the progress rather than perfection. It is also good to monitor your progress. This helps you keep track on things that you are great at or areas that need improvement.

If things get hard, ask for assistance or have a good support system right from the start for you to be guided in your journey to a new you.
