CAMOTES ISLAND, CEBU -- Scaling up nutrition in 2014, the National Nutrition Council 7 is adopting and incorporating Knowledge Management as a major organizational strategy for all its activities this year. This was shared by Dr.Parolita A. Mission, Nutrition Program Coordinator of NNC 7.

In management circles, Knowledge Management is a business process and an art of acquiring, assimilating, creating, capturing, retrieving, using and sharing knowledge and its outcomes to direct decisions and precipitate or create transformation. The management of information assets of an organization that may include databases, documents, policies, lessons learned and even un-captured expertise or knowledge in the minds of the staff that needs to be shared.
NNC 7’s Knowledge Management scheme will allow officers and staff to have load-balancing schemes, content and context management analysis in its external and internal communication and knowledge audit and knowledge sharing among its staff and agencies within NNC and its regional offices and line agencies. Knowledge management circles point out that the lack of knowledge exchange within and among regional offices illustrates weak knowledge management.
Knowledge management is the mark of a learningful organization. NNC 7 believes that to be able to share its Knowledge Management operational mantra, it must be able to harness and harvest its intellectual capital from within.
