Tagbilaran City – The Provincial Nutrition Committee of Bohol conducted their first quarter meeting on 19 January 2023, at the Provincial Health Office-Bohol. Twenty-six (26) member agencies attended the meeting. Discussed were the programs, projects and activities (PPAs) for the month of January to March this year.
The agenda included provincial nutrition evaluation schedule and briefing of evaluators, honoraria of Barangay Nutrition Scholars, accomplishment report per agency, capacity mapping, 3-year and 1-year plan, proposed PNC resolution on Nutrition in Emergencies Management, and 2020-2023 Operation Timbang (OPT) results.
The schedule for the provincial evaluation will start from 11 April to second week May 2023 and will be using the Monitoring and Evaluation Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI) Pro tool. During the meeting, DNPC Glenda Geangan reported that there is a decreasing trend of malnutrition in the province based on the Operation Timbang Plus results. The body was ecstatic to hear the good news and affirmed that all province’s nutrition interventions has positively impacted on the nutritional status of Bol-anon children.
The PNC will have their 2nd quarter meeting in April 2023 to prepare for the Regional Nutrition Evaluation.
