Cebu City – The Central Visayas Association of Nutrition Action Officers (CeVANAO) Inc. and the Nutrition Program Coordinators’ Association of Region (NPCAR) 7 Inc. gathered on 27 January 2023 for their respective association meetings. The back-to-back meeting was held at St. Mark Hotel, Redemptorist Plaza, Cebu City.

CeVANAO, Inc. Executive Vice President and Carcar CNAO Dr. Ma. Felmar M. Deza presided the meeting attended by five Nutrition Action Officers. The meeting tackled the association workplan for 2023 that included 18th Congress of NAOs, 49th Nutrition Month special activity and advocacy to Provincial Nutrition Committees as well identifying Outstanding Local Nutrition Focal Points awardees.

The NPCAR 7, Inc. President and Canlaon CNPC Rodney Zamora on the other hand, led the association meeting that discussed 2023 NPCAR 7 Inc. Workplan, D/C/MNPCs Nominee for Regional MELLPI Pro and the 10th Regional Congress of D/C/MNPCs. It was attended by 16 District/City Nutrition Program Coordinators from the different local government units in the region.

The quarterly meetings of the regional nutrition associations are held in conjunction with the Regional Management Conference which are usually culminated with an information-sharing session on topics identified by members according to their needs.  // ND II Franz Cassandra R. Ontina, RND
