February2023 Tayasan TKSPTayasan, Negros Oriental – The Municipal Nutrition Committee (MNC) of Tayasan launched the Tutok Kainan Supplementation Program (TKSP) Phase 4 on 16 February 2023 as part of the regional launching of said program in Central Visayas. Actively supported by the MNC Chair and Mayor, Hon. Susano Antonio D. Ruperto III, the event was spearheaded by MHO/MNAO Dr. Myrasol Zuniega, and PHN/MNPC Ms. Demma Irene Bromo.

The municipality of Tayasan is one of the beneficiaries of the Tutok Kainan Supplementation Program Phase 4 in the Province of Negros Oriental. Tutok Kainan Supplementation Program (TKSP) is a nationally funded program of the National Nutrition Council of the Department of Health targeting 6–23-month-old children. This program aims to prevent stunting in children 6-23 months old.

Barangay Bago, Guincalaban, and Tambulan are the selected barangays in Tayasan included in TKSP with a total of 100 beneficiaries. The barangay officials from the three different barangays were all grateful to the said program because according to them, it will help their constituents, especially the children to have improved nutrition, health, and a better future.

Barangay Captain of Guincalaban, Hon.

The MNC of Tayasan is hoping for a better health and nutrition status of all the beneficiaries of the TKSP with the active participation and cooperation of the barangay officials, BNSs, BHWs, and the participants as well. // ND II Chutsvieka May Pacatang, RND
