Cebu City – The National Nutrition Council Region VII sets its regional plans and targets for March 2023 as the team held its third regional staff meeting s. 2023 at the RNPC Room, NNC 7 Office, Cebu City on 27 February 2023.

Members of the regional nutrition policy and planning team, nutrition surveillance, nutrition information and education, administrative, and finance group of the regional office were present during the meeting which was presided by NNC 7 Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator Dr. Parolita A. Mission.

During the meeting, the team assessed the regional accomplishment for the first two months of the year vis-à-vis regional targets. This has allowed the group to recognize priority action points post-meeting or activity.

Aside from this, the team also identified major activities for the month of March and listed down specific assignments for each priority activity. Among these priorities, activities include the preparation and conduct of the 2023 monitoring and evaluation of local level plan implementation (MELLPI) Pro, the orientation of the newly hired Human Resource for Health - Nutrition (HRH-N), monitoring of the Tutok Kainan Supplementation Program (TKSP) implementation, nutriskwela community radio network program monitoring, meeting of the Media Information Network for Nutrition and Development 7 (MIND 7) meeting, Scaling-up Nutrition network meeting, attendance to NNC Management Conference, and technical assistance to LGUs among others.

The regional staff meeting is NNC 7’s strategy to make sure that the targeted programs, projects, and activities for the year will be implemented as planned and their performance continuously improved which will ultimately contribute to the success of the nutrition landscape in the region.
