Cebu City – Barangay Nutrition Scholars based in Northern Cebu areas hit with Typhoon Yolanda continued to hold Nutrition in Emergency training and counselling.
Following the fielding of Nutrition Cluster representatives to storm-afflicted areas, there has since been continued efforts and re-echoingorientation on mid upper arm circumference taking, the monitoring of children with moderate and severe acute malnutrition and the promotion of exclusive breastfeeding along with appropriate complementary feeding and referring severe and moderate acute malnutrition cases. Among those involved in these endeavors are the Municipal Nutrition Coordinators and Barangay Nutrition Scholars of the city of Bogo and the municipalities of Medellin, DaanBantayan, Bantayan, Madridejos, Sta. Fe, San Remegio, Tabogon, Borbon, San Francisco, Tabuelan, Pilar, Tudela, Poro and Sogod. //DFB
