Taking a long, romantic walk with your beloved is a good way in celebrating valentine’s day. You will be able to talk about many things together while walking and able to exercise yourselves. Try to make it a regular habit. Taking a regular walk can help lower the blood sugar level and boost energy as well. Thus, making it an advantage for both of you being physically healthy and your bonding moment as a couple.

Valentine’s Day is not just for lovers, it is a celebration time for families in general. Hence, lots of activities could be done. Picnic could be fun for children. Games would make an enjoyable bond such as Scavenger Hunt wherein hidden notes are kept around the house and the children should look for it. Region 7 Doubles up on eOPT EffortsCebu City – As the Operation Timbang Plus activities for 2017 rapidly comes to an end, the Regional Nutrition Committees of Central Visayas have doubled up efforts in mentoring LGUs on the use of the new eOPT tool to help facilitate data processing and analysis.

From mentoring activities to conduct of workshops, the provinces of Bohol, Cebu, Negros Oriental and Siquijor have been enthusiastic in the application of the eOPT tool. This helps process raw data gathered during the local Operation Timbang Plus activities and translating the data into information that can be used by the local nutrition committees in planning.

The provinces have made efforts in meeting up with their local nutrition workers to provide technical assistance through hands on mentoring on the use of the eOPT tool as strategized by the provinces of Bohol, Negros Oriental and Siquijor, or have invested on workshops/trainings on its usage such as the strategy done by Cebu Province.

The eOPT was published by the National Nutrition Council early this month. This is a new version of the BNS Tool and the OPT database tool used a few years ago and its publication is well anticipated by LGUs who have already started encoding master lists since the middle of 2016.

“It will indeed make our work lighter” a barangay worker who have been monitoring updates on the regional webpage stated referring to the new eOPT tool.
