E. Villanueva, Siquijor - The brain is the most complex organ of the human body. Throughout life, the brain monitors our daily operations and activities, and the brain will communicate with other organs to coordinate their respective functions.
Amazingly, there is a relationship between the food we eat and the functioning of our brains. What we eat can also affect the neurons, which are the major cells of the brain. A healthy diet with proper amounts of nutrients will keep our brain healthy in such a way it improves our learning, mood, attention, and mental health.

La Libertad, Negros Oriental – One of the most important influences on babies in the womb is nutrition, which is crucial during infancy and the first few years of a child’s growth. The early stages of life are crucial for brain development because they support cognitive growth that lasts well into adulthood. Children who are malnourished, not just those picky eaters, but actually also those not getting enough calories, protein, and other nutrients in their diets, do not adequately grow, physically or mentally. Malnourished children frequently experience long-lasting behavioral and cognitive problems, such as delayed language and fine motor development, lower IQ, and poor academic performance due to inadequate brain growth and development.
The mother’s diet/nutrition during her pregnancy has a great impact on the baby’s brain development and after birth, a child’s nutrition also has a significant impact on how their brain develops. What the mother eats during pregnancy and what the child eats during his/her early childhood has a direct impact on how the child’s brain develops and works, not just throughout early childhood but as well into adulthood.

Reading of food labels, nutrition facts, and ingredient lists, are just a few of the greatest approaches to learning this.
