
PALO, Leyte - In September 2002, Malacañang proclamation No. 247 declaring the month of September of every year as Development Policy Research Month (DPRM).
It highlights the critical role of policy research in the socioeconomic advancement of the Philippines.
The celebration provides a means to promote, enhance, instill and draw awareness of the importance and necessity of policy research in national development and nation-building.
The Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) leads the conduct of activities in observance of the DPRM, in coordination with various government agencies.
This year is the 19th Development Policy Research Month (DPRM) with the theme, “Reset and Rebuild for a Better Philippines in the Post-Pandemic World”.
The National Nutrition Council in her part joins the DPRM celebration by conducting the First Nutrition Research Forum.
The First Nutrition Research Forum carries a theme “Converging Research Priorities to Address Malnutrition.”
The research forum will be conducted on September 8, 2021 at 10:00 in the morning to 4:30 in the afternoon via Zoom platform and Facebook live stream. Registration is free and open to nutrition networks and other stakeholders.
