PALO, Leyte - While nutriskwela radio stations in Eastern Visayas did not bagged in various categories of awards during the 5th Nutriskwela National Conference because of COVID 19 pandemic, two of them got the top post in the recently concluded election of Board of Trustees.

Station Manager Marvin Morallos of Radyo Kabulig in San Policarpo, Eastern Samar was voted Chairperson of the Nutriskwela Radio Broadcasters Association (NRBA). Likewise, Station Manager Dr. Rothelia Maria Ugsad of Radyo Kausbawan stationed at Palompon Institute of Technology (PIT), Palompon, Leyte was also voted as the NRBA’s Public Information Officer. Both are voted from among the Board of Trustees.

The NRBA is a network of community nutriskwela radio station in the entire country.

The NRBA aims to strengthen among radio stations and its personnel to further empower and better serve the purpose in addressing malnutrition and promote community development by supporting all programs of the National Nutrition Council.

Both SM Morallos and Ugsad are also members of the Eastern Visayas media arm, the Harmonized Initiative of Media for the Spread Of Good Nutrition (HIMSOG 8).
