
UNICEF Manila come to SL to assess how far the humanitarian organizations can assist 19 LGUs of SL in terms of health, nutrition, WASH, child protection. and education. UNICEF is also coordinating other humanitarian agencies to come to SL to assist them build back better their lives being affected by Typhoon Odette.
Meanwhile for his part the NNC already conducted initial nutrition assessment, crash course on Philippine Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition (PIMAM) to effectively manage moderate and acute malnourished children, coordinated the distribution of ready to use therapeutic food (RUTF) and nutrition education classes.
The NPC also introduce the newly hired Information Management Officer to assist the Provincial Nutrition Cluster in its coordinated reporting system.
The delegation told the Provincial Governor to synchronize and synergise all efforts of government agencies, non-government organizations, civil society organizations and the private sectors for SL to recover from the devastation. #NPC-CPD
