Limasawa BNSsMAASIN CITY - The Nutrition Program Coordinators’ (NPC) Association named Association of Nutrition Prime Movers of the Philippines through its president and treasurer Dr. Terry Ungson and Carina Santiago respectively, polled funds from the 17 Regional NPC and various donors an amount and later pro rated the said amount to regions devastated by TY Odette.

NNC 8 RNPC Dr. Catalino P. Dotollo, Jr., in his visit to Limasawa Island in Southern Leyte together with UNICEF Manila and Samaritan’s Purse handed over the cash assistance to all Barangay Nutrition Scholars ( BNSs) of the island.

The RNPC also handed over used clothings to the same BNSs. The handing over was witnessed by the a Municipal Nutrition Action Officer (MNAO) Miss Reminigilda Salomon.

The BNSs and the MNAO expressed their sencirest gratitude to the NPC Association and to the NNC 8 staff for the used clothing.
“Among kinasing kasing nga pasalamat sa asosasyon sa mga Nutrition Program Coordinator (NPC) sa tibo-ok nasud sa Pilipinas sa pag hatag ning maong ayuda, ingon usab sa NNC 8 sa pag personal nga pag hatud dinhi sa among isla”, said the BNSs. Likewise, MNAO Remy Salomon said the same heartfelt gratitude for the cash assistance given to her BNSs.

The island BNSs was personally handpicked by the NNC8 RNPC considering the magnitude of the typhoon and the very limited pooled amount. #NPC-CPD
