PALO, Leyte - The National Nutrition Council (NNC) headed by RNPC Catalino P. Dotollo, Jr. and UNICEF officials discussed with DOH-EV-CHD Director, Dr. Exuperia B. Sabalberino, the ongoing Typhoon Odette response in Southern Leyte.
UNICEF sectors on health, nutrition, and education presented their continuous efforts in monitoring of typhoon response implementation and assessment of current needs in Southern Leyte, specifically in Maasin City, Bontoc, and Limasawa.
Municipalities in Panaon Island will be next recipients of the current project.
Meanwhile, RNPC Dotollo, Jr. advocated for urgent mobile in-patient therapeutic care (ITC) for moderately and severely wasted children.
Furthermore, he suggested expanding the coverage of the current project to 5th District of Leyte, which were also affected by the Typhoon Odette. #NOII-TMCL
