Signed on June 25, 1974, the Presidential Decree 491 or the Nutrition Act of the Philippines mandates the National Nutrition Council (NNC) to spearhead the nationwide celebration of the Nutrition Month.

This year, the 47^th National Nutrition Month Celebration is anchored on the theme “Malnutrisyon Patuloy Labanan, First 1000 Days Tutukan,” which calls for continued efforts from all sectors to address malnutrition amid the ongoing health crisis, focusing on the First 1000 Days of life as the strategic intervention to prevent stunting and obesity.

To push through the month-long celebration under the new normal, the NNC Regional Office VIII, in partnership with various nutrition stakeholders in the region, has lined up series of online activities where its social media followers can join at the comfort of their homes or workplace.

For the Nutri-Jingle, below are the general guidelines;

• The contest is open to all high school (Junior or Senior high school) nutrition advocates in Eastern Visayas.
• The entry jingle must adhere to the 2021 Nutrition Month Celebration Theme “Malnutrisyon Patuloy na Labanan, First 1000 Days Tutukan”
• Each entry must not exceed three (3) minutes, inclusive of optional opening/closing credits and should be in HD data format (MP4).
• Must contain original footages. Music used can be original, licensed or in the public domain or can be made acapella.
• Must not contain any obscene, malicious or offensive content and has not been exhibited as part of any other competition.
• Inappropriate and offensive entries will be disqualified automatically.

• Deadline of submission is on 9 July 2021. Posting of entries in the official Facebook page of NNC Region VIII is on July 12, 2021.
• Announcement of winners is on 29 July 2021 as part of the 2021 Nutrition Month Celebration culmination activities.
• All entries will automatically become property of the NNC and may be used in various promotional and advocacy purposes.
• Judges’ decision is final and non-appealable.
