HILONGOS, Leyte – The National Nutrition Council (NNC) Region 8 handed over the Barangay Nutrition Scholars’ (BNSs) cheque representing the 2021 travel allowance.
The cheque will benefit 51 BNSs of the 51 barangays of the municipality.
Hilongos, Leyte is one the municipalities in Leyte province to submit BNS proposal and release early to the BNSs. Subsequently, after its release, the MNAO submitted the required liquidation requirements and at the same time submit for the year’s BNS proposal.
Meantime, RNPC Catalino P. Dotollo, Jr together with PNFP Ms Annabel B. Limbagan, sat down with the MNAO and staff to discuss Early Childhood Care and Development in the First 1000 Days (ECCD-F1KD) fund utilization.
MNAO Edward Lora told the NNC 8 staff that since COVID 19 Alert Level had gone down and zero case, they will resume the Idol Ko si Nanay Module and cooking demonstration. The activity was already planned and in its bidding process.
Moreover, funds on gasoline and traveling expenses is still huge amount and RNPC advised the MNAO to write a letter address to the Head of Agency of National Nutrition Council in Central Office for request for realignment.
The request will be forwarded to NNC 8 and will endorse to NNC CO. #RNPC-CPD
