BAYBAY CITY - Around 60 pregnant women including teenage mothers are gathered at the City Gymnasium of Baybay today, March 30, 2022, for the Buntis Congress.

As part of the intensified effort on information dissemination, the local government unit of City of Baybay through its City Heath Unit (CHU) conceptualized its own initiative to gather all pregnant women including teenage mothers all over the city.

The objectives of the said congress are to educate pregnant women and expecting mothers on family planning, safe pregnancy, nutrition in pregnancy, and reduce child mortality under five (5) years old.

Lectures on family planning, Early Childhood Care and Development, pre-pregnancy and pregnancy, and postpartum and newborn care are given by City Health officers to the participants.

All participants are given with “buntis” kits. Later in the afternoon is the search for the “Buntis Queen 2022.” #PNFP-ABL
