PALO, Leyte - As the first quarter of 2022 will end, the National Nutrition Council Region 8 has conducted three major regional activities.
These are the Pre-Deployment Orientation for Human Resources for Health- Nutritionist Dietitian Deployment Program (HRH-NDDP), Provincial/City/Municipal Nutrition Action Officer (P/C/MNAOs) meeting and District/City Nutrition Program Coordinators (P/CNPC) meeting.
RNPC Dr. Catalino P. Dotollo, Jr discussed the 2021 Regional Nutrition Situation, the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN) 2017-2022 and the First 1000 Days Program and Tutok Kainan: Dietary Supplementation (TK-DSP). RNPC emphasizes the role of the Nutritionist Dietitians (NDs) in the achievement of PPAN 2017-2022, likewise in the First 1000 Days and the Tutok Kainan.
Close to 28 NDs to be assigned in the various provinces, cities, and municipalities in Eastern Visayas attended the pre-deployment orientation.
Meanwhile, both P/C/MNAOs and D/CNPCs conducted their respective association meetings separately. Each of the group will conduct election of new sets of officers. The respective meetings will also tackle future directions and thrusts of the associations. #RNPC-CPD
