CATARMAN, Northern Samar - PNFP Ramel Bandibas conducted Tutok Kainan:Dietary Supplementation Program Orientation and consultative meeting with Northern Samar Provincial Agrarian Reform Partners on April 5, 2022.

The activity focusses on the orientation and overview of the program, guidelines on the engagement with ARBOs, Marketing Agreement, documentary requirements and the weekly cycle menu which includes commodity type and volume of products. As part of the discussion, it has been emphasized that the agreed price of the products is already inclusive of the transport cost and should be delivered within the specific period of time.

On the other hand, with seven (7) covered municipalities in TK:DSP in Northern Samar, two (2) Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs) committed to enter into an agreement to supply raw products to specific municipalities with the required volume of products, meats, vegetables, fruits among others, as ordered by the National Nutrition Council.

Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organizations (ARBOs) are the partners of National Nutrition Council in ensuring the sustainability of the program especially when it comes to providing hot meals l. The ARBOs will be the direct seller of farm products/services in coordination with the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).

NNC VIII will also soon conduct another series of orientations and consultative meetings to ten (10) municipalities in the province covered by nutritionally-at-risk pregnant women Tutok Kainan Supplementation Program under the Phase 5.

Present during the activity were DAR Regional Agrarian Reform Focal Person, Northern Samar Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer, Provincial Agrarian Reform Focal person, Municipal Agrarian Reform Program Officers, Agrarian Reform Field Coordinators, Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organizations, Provincial Nutrition Action Officer, Municipal Nutrition Action Officer, and Municipal Nutrition Staff.

In the afternoon, PNFP Ramel Bandibas had a separate consultative meeting with UNICEF Information Management Consultant-Mr. Gabriel Tubigon for the upcoming Monitoring of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI) technical assistance to the Province of Northern Samar. #PNFP-ROB
